- show experimentation and risk taking
- use values/shading
- use words/writting
Today, we will be reviewing how to work on Visual Journals! These are fun sketchbook experimentations that you can do so many things with! Below are some ideas that you can include in visual journals. To make your visual journal successful, you will have to do the following:
Option #4: Multiple views Object Drawing
Find something interesting around your house and draw at least six to nine various views of the object, cropped in so that there is little to no negative space showing. You can use whatever media that is convenient however, you must include VALUE! Below are some examples and the media varies from pencil and charcoal to watercolor and pen and ink. Please let me know if you have questions and be sure to post your final result onto the "D&P2 My Art" page on the blog.
Option #3: Funko Pop Yourself
Funko Inc. is an American company that manufactures licensed pop culture collectibles, best known for its licensed vinyl figurines and bobbleheads. You've seen these around! There are all sorts of pop culture and historical figures created. Did you know that famous artists were made into Funko Pop Characters?
In this option, you can either Funko pop yourself, or an artist who is alive now, creating art. (if you are creating a character based on an artist, be sure to include a photo and name of the artist you are creating along with the Funko pop drawing.) If you Funko pop yourself, be sure to add accessories of things that describe who you are. Be sure to post this to your blog on the "D&P1/ My Art" page. You may want to copy the character blanks below to get you started:
