If you need more ideas for project options, check out the link to my Printography extensions page. You may use any of these 13 Printography Extension options to finish off the projects for the rest of the semester. Remember, you are working on one sketchbook assignment, and one Project option due Thursday each week. Please let me know if you need more help. http://kellhighschoolart.weebly.com/printography-extensions.html Option #14: Printing with markersOption #13: #toonmechallenge
This one is for those of you who want to challenge yourself with digital art. The idea is to take a photograph of yourself and then choose a part of that photograph to "cartoon yourself" using any type of digital app such as Photoshop, Pixlr, PicsArt, etc. You can use a phone, iPad, tablet or computer. I am not the best at this, but you can find a ton of online tutorials. I will link a couple below!! Check out all the samples!
Here is another link to a #toonmechallenge tutorial using Photoshop, but Pixlr would also work for this. https://youtu.be/2svf-8y0_pQ
Hello Visual Art students,
Here is the plan for the next few weeks of school in visual arts. Students will be working on TWO assignments each week. One will be a sketchbook assignment and one will be a short project assignment. BOTH of these assignments will be due by the end of the day on THURSDAYs. In order to get credit for these assignments, students will need to post them to their individual student blogs. Sketchbooks need to be posted on the "sketchbook" page and short projects will be on the "My Art" page. I have revised the sketchbook assignment list for the semester: it was sent home through email and is on the sketchbook page of my blog. Please read the directions carefully. The short projects will be from choices that are listed on the class page of my blog. http://kellhighschoolart.weebly.com/draw--paint-1 Right now there is a total of 10 project options for students to choose from and I will continue to add to that list every few days. If you haven't already done so, please fill out the form letting me know if your student is going to be trying to improve their grade or is content with their grade as of March 13th: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSemGceTxpmt_7mX0lLNTPzaDYs5syC1raSwLAwxTbzy-NdT4w/viewform?usp=sf_link Please let me know if you have any questions! There are all sorts of pop culture and historical figures created. Did you know that famous artists were made into Funko Pop Characters?
In this option, you can either Funko pop yourself, or an artist who is alive now, creating art. (if you are creating a character based on an artist, be sure to include a photo and name of the artist you are creating along with the Funko pop drawing.) If you Funko pop yourself, be sure to add accessories of things that describe who you are. Be sure to post this to your blog on the "D&P1/ My Art" page.
