Fill out the survey to help me pick out the artwork for our art show!

Once you have filled out the survey above, be sure to take the time today to update your weekly blog.  Here is the list of what should be uploaded to your blog at this time:

On the "my art" page, you should have the following:
  1. ​Photorealism artwork
  2. Skeleton Value Drawing
  3. Exploration/ Risktaking results (take photos of all that you did over those two/three days)
  4. Subtractive Self Portrait
  5. Background for Oil Pastel Still Life
  6. Oil Pastel Still Life
  7. Altered Book pages.  These should be grouped together in their own section at the bottom of this page.
    1. Cover (front and back)
    2. Unity (quote with envelope)
    3. Movement (watercolor cut up/ lines in background)
    4. Contrast (notan square)
    5. Rhythm (Op art line design)
    6. Pattern (stamp inside covers)
    7. ​Balance (symmetrical painting w/ sharpie design)

On the "sketchbook' page, you should have the following:
  1. Both sketchbook covers (front and back)
  2. We have completed 12 sketchbook assignments, you should upload your best 8 (below are your choices)
    1. where's waldo
    2. empty soda can
    3. insects
    4. "Reflections" entry
    5. drapery
    6. modern Mona Lisa
    7. shaded houseplant
    8. unusual point of view
    9. visual journal
    10. ​draw outward from picture/magazine
    11. YAM flag design
    12. visual pun
    13. drawing out of #2 pencils
    14. unlikely headline
    15. ​small found object + sketch
    16. song lyric illustration
  3. Photograph practice sketches/ thumbnail sketches you have completed for this page also.​ 
            For example
  • practice sketch for stamp
  • thumbnail sketch for skeleton
  • thumbnail sketch for oil pastel/acrylic still life
  • practice page for oil pastel and acrylic

Create a Holiday Meme for BOnus Points

Create a holiday meme for your favorite celebrity!
  1. First, find a photograph of your favorite celebrity (school appropriate!)
  2. Then turn the photograph into a holiday meme/ funny holiday card by adding your own text.
  3. Add text by using by using Pixlr Express 
  4. You can add other things to make it more holiday-like, such as color, holly, etc.
  5. Have Fun!
