OPTION #13: PRINTING WITH MARKERS
Option #12: #toonmechallenge
This one is for those of you who want to challenge yourself with digital art. The idea is to take a photograph of yourself and then choose a part of that photograph to "cartoon yourself" using any type of digital app such as Photoshop, Pixlr, PicsArt, etc. You can use a phone, iPad, tablet or computer. I am not the best at this, but you can find a ton of online tutorials. I will link a couple below!! Check out all the samples!
Here is another link to a #toonmechallenge tutorial using Photoshop, but Pixlr would also work for this. https://youtu.be/2svf-8y0_pQ
Option #11: Forced Perspective Photography
Forced perspective is a technique that employs optical illusion to make an object appear farther away, closer, larger or smaller than it actually is.
For this short project, take at least one images that utilizes "forced perspective" and upload it to your blog!!
Hello Visual Art Students,
Here is the plan for the next few weeks of school in visual arts. Students will be working on TWO assignments each week. One will be a sketchbook assignment and one will be a short project assignment. BOTH of these assignments will be due by the end of the day on THURSDAYs. In order to get credit for these assignments, students will need to post them to their individual student blogs. Sketchbooks need to be posted on the "sketchbook" page and short projects will be on the "My Art" page.
I have revised the sketchbook assignment list for the semester it was emailed home and on the class sketchbook page. Please read the directions carefully. The short projects will be from choices that are listed on the class page of my blog. http://kellhighschoolart.weebly.com/va-comp Right now there is a total of 10 project options for students to choose from and I will continue to add to that list every few days.
If you haven't already done so, please fill out the form letting me know if your student is going to be trying to improve their grade or is content with their grade as of March 13th: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSemGceTxpmt_7mX0lLNTPzaDYs5syC1raSwLAwxTbzy-NdT4w/viewform?usp=sf_link
