If you'd like to check out how you can make your own texture blocks for gelli printmaking, see this awesome video: https://youtu.be/XS_1F0jYoBw
Thursday, we will be looking at artist, Stefan Bucher and his famous monsters! His work is featured on the dailymonster.com. Below is a great artist profile done by mimozine to give you a glance into how he approaches his work. You will create your own monster from an inkblot. Also include an environment to put your monster in: (outside on the playground, dancing in the club, outer space, underwater, etc.). You will be using sharpies and the watercolor colored pencils.
During the second half of class, you will create a design for the next year's Kell High School Chorus. Create this design on the t-shirt template. Limit the design to only 2 or 3 colors (not counting the t-shirt color). Below are some examples of Chorus T-shirts for you to get ideas:
You will need to turn BOTH assignments in to the sub to get credit for today. But WAIT!!! Before you do, take a picture with your device and upload these images to the "other" page on your weebly blog. (This can give you up to 6 bonus points on your weebly blog!!)
Please congratulate the following visual arts students who represented Kell High School at KSU's art festival pin up show:
