For your "MANIC MONDAY" for this week, you will create a found object sculpture wrapped with yarn. Find 5-10 objects and wrap them with yarn to create your sculpture. Perhaps do a series of more than one to display together.

Seth Apter is a guest artist for the show, "Make it Artsy" on PBS. Below is one of his art ideas which is a variation on this "Wild Wednesday" assignment. You may want to check it out!!
For the next Manic Monday, you will use cardboard as your three dimensional sculpture medium. Cardboard is an excellent medium and SOOOO versatile. You will be able to create with it in so many ways. Below are ways that you can attach cardboard together and/or make it sculptural. Also, I am sharing the link to Darrell Wakelam's site. He is both an art teacher and an artist who specializes in sculpting using cardboard. Its amazing all the things he can do with this simple medium. The art of Darrell Wakelam:Wakelem has amazing artwork out of cardboard, but because he is also an art teacher, he has broken down his technique and make it kid-friendly. You could easily utilize his ideas and methods to create artwork that goes with your sustained investigation subject matter. check out his own artwork below: Below are kid-friendly project downloads that he shares with elementary and middle school aged kiddos. I think they are a little formulaic for you guys, but you could see how he breaks it down and follow similar steps to create your own images.
