2. BREIFLY (in 5 words or less) explain your topic to your partner.
3. Next, your partner is to ask you the question "why" at least 5 times.
Ex: My topic is plants.......
Why? I like the way they look.
Why? I like the organic/ soft lines, because they make me feel calm.
Why/ Why is that important? Plants can have cleansing effect.
Why/ Why is that important? Because they literally refresh the oxygen and help life on the planet.
Why/ Why is that important/ What does that mean to you? Since they are cleansing and rejuvenating, being in nature helps to center me personally and I feel more spiritual in nature. But also, I am intrigued in how plants refresh the air, but are also sources for healing. (this discussion can lead me to my first SI question)----->
How can I create compositions featuring plants to investigate how plants have been used as natural medicines throughout history?
4. Each time, use your visual journal to take note of your reason BEHIND your topic. (What is your WHY!!?)
5. In the time that is left, use the internet to continue to research your favorite/best topic. Find websites, and write the links down in your journal. Find articles about your topic so you can have a stronger "WHY" behind your idea.
6. At the end of the period, be sure to take a photograph of your in progress visual journal. Send me the photo through Remind for your "ticket out the door."
